Tractor Mechanic

The Tractor Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing and repairing all systems on a diesel tractor.
Essential Job Functions

• Responsible for repairs and required maintenance of tractors
• Inspecting, troubleshooting, diagnosing and performing maintenance on tractors
• Interprets work orders
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensures that the work meets regulations
• All other duties assigned

Requirements

• Should have specific knowledge of heavy truck repairs in a commercial environment, including diesel engine system diagnostics to ensure equipment is operating appropriately
• Must know general repairs and PM criteria
• Must have a valid drivers license with a satisfactory driving record
• Must have own tools
• Must be available to work weekends, overtime and holidays
• High School Diploma
